When we started Country Pawz Estates, we didn’t want to be an average pet boarding where the dogs are cooped up in kennels. Country Pawz Estates near Kamloops, BC is offers a variety of pet boarding activities for your pet. They are never out of things to do at Country Pawz Estates. Our daily routine goes as follows.
Around 7:00 AM we wake up the sleepy heads and let them stretch for a while we greet all of them individually. All of us head out on a potty trail. Doggy treats are always on hand. We head out to the trees and trails beyond the first fence line of our property where all our guests are free to roam, play and investigate whatever they want. When the weather is cold and snowy, we choose the safest route to avoid any worries.
You do not have to worry about your dog being off-leash. When a new guest arrives, we give them a chance to bond with the rest of the guests. So, during the trial, they are always together. If anyone wanders off, one whistle to Rusty and he is by our side followed by all our guests.
The morning walk lasts about 2-3 hours. We also visit the creek that runs through the property and the dogs love it there! They never get bored of smelling, searching and spending time down there.
We get back home for breakfast. We give our guests a little time to relax and have a quiet time to lick off the snow and burr out of their paws and maybe nap for a while.
We go out on another potty trip. We get into playing and spending some time in the yard. Learning new skills like sharing and helping. When it gets warm enough, we go out for another walk or horseback ride. We learn the importance of “come, sit, stay” and most of all “let’s play”!
Throughout the afternoon, the guests help me with any kind of fencing and chores we have.
After a long day of fun and games, we feed them at different intervals; take them out for potty runs and short walks. By 10:00 PM, its light out, yummy snacks and bedtime.
We have a very busy day filled with laughter and fun. Yes, there are a few growls now and then, but nothing we can’t manage.
